Our Story - ʻO kā mākou moʻolelo *

Kēhaulani Hula Studio is dedicated to preserving and perpetuating the traditions and cultural values of Hawaiʻi through hula, chant (oli), storytelling (moʻolelo), and cultural education. Under the direction of Kumu Hula C. Pōmaikaʻi Gaui, the studio provides instruction for both adults and children, emphasizing not only the movements of hula but also the ʻike (knowledge), ʻōlelo (language), and traditions that give hula its deeper meaning.

Based in Utah, Kēhaulani Hula Studio offers classes, workshops, performances, and educational programs that foster cultural understanding, community connection, and a lifelong appreciation for Hawaiian culture. Rooted in tradition and guided by aloha, the studio is committed to sharing the living heritage of Hawaiʻi with future generations.

What began as a passion project has evolved into something more. We’re proud of where we’ve been and even more excited for what’s ahead.

What sets us apart isn’t just our process—it’s the intention behind it. We take time to understand, explore, and create with purpose at every turn.
